Learn hiragana and katakana on your iPhone or iPod touch.

Kana is a great game for manga readers, Japanese students, children and family members of mixed Japanese families.

Includes 12 levels to take you through from the basic vowels, to the more advanced katakana and hiragana. The game learns about your knowledge as you play. It won't repeat kana you've shown you know, and will focus on kana you have difficulty with.

Kana Quiz

The game starts. You're shown a kana to enter. Type in the romaji (English) translation, and press return.

After each answer you're given feedback and immediately prompted with another kana.

Focused Practise

A record is kept of your game. At any time you can view your progress, and see a helpful list of the kana you should focus your practise on.

Automatic Save

Any time you leave the game your progress is saved, and you can resume your game the next time you play.
